The Faculty of Technology, University of Ruhuna, successfully inaugurated the Orientation Programme for its 10th Batch of undergraduates on 25th May 2026, at the Faculty premises, Kamburupitiya. The ceremony was graced by the Chief Guest, Prof. Subash Jayasinghe, Dean of the Faculty of Technology, in the presence of Heads of Departments, academic staff, and the newly enrolled undergraduates. In his address, Prof. Jayasinghe warmly welcomed the new students and encouraged them to embrace their university journey with dedication, curiosity, and a spirit of collaboration, while highlighting the Faculty's commitment to producing future-ready technology professionals.

The programme cheduled to be coordinated by Dr. Niranjan Kannangara, Deputy Senior Student Counsellor Student counsellors and the Career Circle of the Faculty. The event provided the incoming students with a comprehensive introduction to the Faculty's degree programmes, academic services, student welfare resources, and co-curricular opportunities.
