The Faculty of Technology, University of Ruhuna, successfully inaugurated the Orientation Programme for its 10th Batch of undergraduates on 25th May 2026, at the Faculty premises, Kamburupitiya.
As part of the orientation program of 9th Intake of Faculty of Technology, the students organized and participated in the Bhawa Talent Show, an annual event designed to showcase the creative and artistic abilities of the newest batch. The event, held on April 28, 2025.
Under the instructions and guidance of Dr. Thissa Karunarathna, Head of the Department, the Department of Biosystems Technology successfully conducted
a workshop for GCE A/L students in the Matara Education Zone.
Prof. Subash Jayasinghe assumed duties as the Dean of the Faculty of Technology, University of Ruhuna, for his second tenure on 12th February 2026.
The first-ever Staff Talent Show of the Faculty of Technology, University of Ruhuna, was successfully held on 20 January 2026 at the Faculty Auditorium.This initiative was a concept of the Dean, Prof. Subash Jayasinghe, aiming to create a platform that celebrates the creativity and hidden talents of the Faculty community.
The Faculty of Technology successfully held the "TECHNO SPIRITS" Staff Sports Meet on 08th January 2026, at the University Gymnasium with enthusiastic participation of all the staff.
