Profile Overview

Dr. V.H.P. Vitharana is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Engineering Technology, Faculty of Technology, University of Ruhuna. She holds a PhD in Engineering and Technology, an MPhil in Safety in Construction Engineering, and a BSc Special Degree in Physics. She has academic and research experience in Sri Lanka and Thailand, including teaching and research appointments in science, engineering and technology.

Her research interests include occupational health and safety, whole-body vibration exposure, noise, renewable energy, exploratory factor analysis, structural equation modelling and system dynamics modelling. Her research has been published in national and international journals and presented at numerous international conferences. She has also received recognition including a Best Paper Award and an Excellence Foreign Student Scholarship.
