Bio Fusion Food Festival – 2026

Bio Fusion, a Food Festival organized by the students of the Department of Biosystems Technology (BST), Faculty of Technology, University of Ruhuna, showcased the creativity, practical skills, and entrepreneurial spirit of students through a variety of food-related activities and products.

The event was conducted with the main involvement and coordination of Dr. Kaushalya Wijayasekara, under the guidance of the Head of the Department, Dr. K.H.T. Karunarathna.

Bio Fusion provided students with an opportunity to apply their academic knowledge in a practical setting while developing skills in food innovation, product development, teamwork, event management, and entrepreneurship. The festival also created an engaging platform for the Faculty community to experience and appreciate student-led innovations in food and biosystems technology.
